Fall 2023
Classes Taken: CSE 374 (Bash / C++), EE 271 (Digital Circuits and Systems), EE 342 Signals, System, and Data II
This quarter marked an exciting step forward as I began my lead TA position as a Grading Lead for the CS department. This role allowed me to take on more responsibility in managing the grading process while mentoring other TAs and ensuring consistent feedback for students. I also continued my leadership journey through HPS, where I continued mentoring our second ever female safety lead, helping her develop her leadership skills and confidence.
Winter 2024
Classes Taken: EE 393 (Advanced Technical Communication), EE 442 (Digital Signals and Filtering). IND E 315 (Probability and Statistics for Engineers)
This quarter, I began to take on more responsibility in my lead TA role, where I started developing coursework and assignments for Intro CS with a strong focus on accessibility. Ensuring that all students, regardless of background, could engage with the material was a rewarding challenge. I also began to dive deeper into math-heavy topics and machine learning, an area I developed a strong interest in through my classes with Jeng Neng Hwang.
Spring 2024
Classes Taken: EE 233 (Circuit Theory), EE 443 (Machine Learning for Signal Processing) EE 474 (Embedded Systems)
This past spring marked a pivotal shift in my research trajectory as I deepened my exploration of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Machine Learning (ML). While I continue to maintain strong connections with my mentors, I decided to transition to a new research lab, joining Professor Kim Ingraham’s biomechanics group. This move allowed me to not only broaden my knowledge in a new domain but also to learn firsthand how research is conducted within Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).
