Starting Winter 2024, I decided to switch labs to focus on a field I am passionate about pursuing for my PhD: the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Machine Learning (ML). My goal was to work within the intersection of biohealth and Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) to develop technologies that empower people with disabilities.
I began working on Professor Kim Ingraham‘s project surrounding the EM Mini, a mobile device used in therapy. My focus has been on predicting Assessment of Learning Progress (ALP) scores in relation to a user’s understanding of their environment. To support this work, I applied for the Mary Gates Research Scholarship (application embedded below) and have since taken a Undergraduate Research Position to dedicate time into research.
