During the summer of 2024, I participated in an NSF-funded program at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, where I worked with Professor Daqing Hou. Professor Hou specializes in high-performance computing (HPC) within the field of cybersecurity. As part of this program, I completed a project focused on deep learning models, specifically examining Typenet. My goal was to explore the model’s explainability by analyzing its output embeddings and feature engineering processes.
At the conclusion of the project, I presented my findings as a poster at the RAPS conference where I won Best Undergraduate Poster Presentation in Math, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity, and later at the GCURS (Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium) at Rice University. Additionally, I co-authored a paper as the first author, which I am currently submitting to multiple conferences and is under review. All documents are embedded below.
